Ben Lomond Historic Site

Ben Lomond Historic Site

Built in 1837 and a prime example of Federal style architecture, this house sits within five miles of the site of the First and Second Battles of Manassas. The main house was used as a Confederate hospital during and after the Battle of First Manassas. Union soldiers, campaigning through the area in 1862 left graffiti on the walls of the home.

Site contains the main house, slave quarter, dairy and smokehouse. There is also an antique Rose Garden containing many rare and historic varieties of roses. Programs and special events are offered periodically throughout the year. The site is open for tours from May - October, Thursday - Sunday, 11am - 4pm or by appointment.

*Admission Fee: $5.00
