On July 21 through July 24, the Manassas Civil War Commemorative Event will commemorate the Sesquicentennial of the American Civil War and the First Battle of Manassas in Manassas, VA. It will feature living history demonstrations, speakers, art, music, and many other historical commemorations and activities for the family.Thursday, July 21, there will be a National Jubilee of Peace. This free event will showcase the 1911 Peace Jubilee for the 100th anniversary with vintage automobiles, flags, colorful bunting, peace maidens and a production of the ceremony on the courthouse steps with President Taft and Civil War Veterans.
Friday through Sunday, July 22-24, come spectate an 1860's baseball game played by re-enactors in period attire as they compete in a Civil War Baseball Tournament at Camp Manassas, Jennie Dean Elementary School.
Other events include a Manassas Civil War Military Parade, a Sesquicentennial Tableau Fashion Show, and the Manassas Blue and Gray Ball in the time of 1861.
