Science and History meet this season at the 2012 Virginia Renaissance Faire!
- We honor our active and reservist military personnel by providing free admission this weekend to active and reserve service members. Must present military-issue ID. Family and friends are asked to pay the regular low ticket price.

- The Renaissance is characterized by an embrace of newly rediscovered sciences and advances in technology. To this end, Queen Elizabeth has put out the call that she is seeking new innovations from her people in order to advance England's standing in the world. She is calling for the best and brightest to bring forth their scientific inventions or discoveries and present them to a judge that she has sent in advance of her annual Progress to Stafford. On top of that, she has declared that in Staffordshire, the winner of the contest will also be named Mayor of Stafford as she wants people of intelligence and insight helping to guide the good people of Stafford. To celebrate the appointment of a new mayor and the arrival of the Queen, the townsfolk have decided to put on the Staffordshire Science Faire!
- In the wake of this announcement, people have come from all over to present their ideas to the noble judge that represents the Queen. Out of all of these people, 3 candidates stand above the rest: a kind hearted scientist, a military inventor, and a scheming villianess . Having been through a rigorous elimination process, these three must now stand to present their ideas and inventions to the Queen’s representative and the people of Stafford. But things are not as simple as they might appear . . .
